There is something unique about how God moves a man. No story is the same, but the way God weaves His presence into the sinews of a man’s soul can change the course of history.
A few years ago, Lucas Johnson and I met at a Wild at Heart Men’s Boot Camp near Buena Vista, Colorado. That weekend proved momentous for both of us in different ways. For me, God took me to the mat and peeled off a scab from a soul wound I had carried since I was a boy. My long-awaited healing had begun. For Lucas, it was a time to fuel the embering flame of his soul toward a closer walk with Jesus. He was a man in search for wisdom.
One boot camper asked if Lucas and I were father and son. “No, but I’d take Lucas as a son any day!” I gladly replied!
