20 Inspiring Bible Verses About God’s Amazing Love for You | Cru

Ephesians 3:17-19

17Then Christ will make His home in your hearts as you trust in Him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. 18 And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love is. 19May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

*God’s love is so great that we, as mere humans, cannot fully understand it. Humans’ love for one another often depends at least partly on the behavior of the person being loved. God’s love for us does not.

Do you long to be known and loved for who you are? God is the only one who can truly do that.

Psalm 36:5-7

5Your unfailing love, O LORD, is as vast as the heavens; Your faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds. 6Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, Your justice like the ocean depths. You care for people and animals alike, O LORD.

7How precious is Your unfailing love, O God! All humanity finds shelter in the shadow of Your wings.

*You have probably been hurt or betrayed by someone you love at some point in your life. Maybe you have experienced this more than once. Loving and trusting other people is risky. Once one person hurts you, it becomes harder to open up to others.

In contrast, God’s love is truly unconditional. He never fails you or betrays you. You do not need to hold back in your relationship with God, because He is totally trustworthy.

Romans 8:35-39

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? 36 As it is written,

“For your sake we are being killed all the day long;
we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.”

37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

What Does This Mean?

*God is more powerful than anything in heaven or on earth. When you accept Jesus’ invitation to begin a relationship with God, you are secure in His love forever. There is nothing powerful enough to separate you from God’s love. Even when things are difficult or you feel far from God, it’s not because God stops loving you. The truth is that God will never stop loving you, no matter what you do.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7

4Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud 5or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. 6It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. 7Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

*Can you imagine being loved like this? It would change your life. The truth is this is an accurate description of God’s love for you.

Everyone needs this type of love, but if you expect it from another person, you will be let down. God is the only one who can love you perfectly. And when you have a relationship with God and experience His love, it empowers you to love others the way God loves you.

Ephesians 1:3-5

3All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.

4Even before He made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in His eyes. 5God decided in advance to adopt us into His own family by bringing us to Himself through Jesus Christ. This is what He wanted to do, and it gave Him great pleasure.

*You can have a child by accident, but you cannot adopt a child by accident. When you adopt a child, you choose to love, cherish and care for that child for life. When God adopts you, it’s not an accident. He chooses to love, cherish and care for you forever. He does it because He loves you and wants an eternal relationship with you.

Romans 5.3-8

3We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance.4And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.

5And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because He has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with His love. 6When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. 7Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. 8But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.

*Have you ever had someone in your life you loved so much that you wanted to be with them all the time? God feels that way about you. Not only does God love you and want a relationship with you, but He wants to be present in every moment of your life.

The Holy Spirit can help you experience and have a deeper understanding of God’s love for you. His presence in your life means you are never on your own.

*Questions to contemplate:

·        Do you truly believe that God loves you as much as the Bible says He does?

o   If not, think of a way to remind yourself of God’s love for you throughout the day. Write your favorite verses about God’s love on sticky notes and stick them on your bathroom mirror or around your workspace. Memorize a few of these verses and repeat them to yourself when you are feeling far from God.

o   If you believe that God loves you, how does it influence the way you live? Do you believe your Father, who loves you dearly, is the most powerful force in the universe? What would look different in your life if you lived in light of this truth?

 John 4:9-12

9God showed how much He loved us by sending His one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through Him. 10This is real love—not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. 11Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other. 12No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and His love is brought to full expression in us.

*When we love each other, it gives people a glimpse of God because God is love. It can be difficult for people to understand God, but when we love others in His name, they experience a taste of His love.

Sadly, sometimes Christians are known more for judgment than for love. If you want to help other people know who God is, you can share the message of God’s love and then help them experience it through your love for them.

Divine Love by Asher Crandell

In this vast cosmos, where stars collide and comets blaze,

Stands a truth so profound, it sets souls ablaze.

In the heartbeats of galaxies, in the whisper of trees,

God’s love resounds, breaking shackles, setting us free.

Picture it: An embrace, so vast, so deep,

An affection, so fierce, it makes titans weep.

Humanity, lost in a maze, wandering, undone,

Yet God? He responded by giving His Son.

Now hold up, think on that, let it simmer, let it sit,

This ain’t just some story, some myth, some skit.

It’s the pulse in our veins, the wind in our sail,

The map when we’re lost, the track for our trail.

But wait, there’s more, ’cause that love? It’s a call,

A beckon to respond, to give it our all.

It’s not just in hymns, or the pews where we sit,

It’s in every “hello,” every hug, every bit.

It’s more than emotion, it’s our life, it’s our song,

In this divine narrative, we all belong.

So, next time you wonder, amidst life’s noise and its word,

Remember this truth, let your spirit be stirred:

At the core of it all, beyond time, beyond space,

Is a love, unyielding, a perpetual embrace.

The Good and Beautiful You, James Bryan Smith

. . . the good and beautiful God intentionally created the good and beautiful you. You are of divine origin, you were planned, you are wanted, and you are perfectly, intricately designed by God and loved into existence. God created you in order to be with you because God loves you. God designed you with marvelous capacities to think and feel and create, to love and be loved, and an unquenchable longing for the transcendent, for beauty, goodness, and truth. You were created to connect with God and to glorify God with your one, precious life. God designed you to live a life of joy and to enjoy life with God forever.
